Interior Landscapes
In the mid 2000's Bunn turned back to painting in a big way. (Big in every sense of the word).
He started a striking series of large pictures - some nearly 3 metres long - which, immediately, put the viewer in mind of Hopper. But, unlike Hopper, Bunn does not populate his paintings with human figures. The references to humanity - essential in any great art piece - is there by dint of other means. Namely the portrayal of what are clearly Human spaces.
